Room filled with unfamiliar faces. As the night grew darker, the flashing lights grew brighter and the music grew louder. My body moved with the beating of the sound as I slowly feel numb inside. Suddenly, the world feels better and my thoughts faded through the night. Everyone looked happy, just talking to people as if I’ve known them my whole life. It’s like we built this night as an escape from the world. All our hatred and anger were casted away, like the world outside wasn’t ending. We danced like it was our last night on earth. Even when the sun was rising, we didn’t mind. It’s obvious that we didn’t want the night to end, because that means the we have to go back to our life outside, where chaos and responsibilities awaits. So let’s stay like this a bit longer and shut windows and doors, pretend that the world’s still sleeping.
