Don't be fooled by people telling you that it's necessary to have a lot of highlighters, colouring pencils or whatever. I know people who only have a black pencil and their notebooks are very organized.
Don't let social media affect you, find your own style.

This one gonna be about how to defeat procrastination:
- Keep a planner journal
- Commit yourself to certain routine and tasks each day
- Give yourself a reward after you finish the task
- Gain trust in your new system
- Have backup plan for when you still procrastinate (Use the promodoro technique)
- "Eat your frogs first", by that I mean always start with 'difficult' or 'boring' tasks early in the morning.

Mini-testing: To make sure you are learning and not fooling yourself with the illusion of competence is to test yourself on whatever you're learning.

Recall: using mental retrieval of the main idea, rather than rereading will make your study time focused and effective.

We all know that Practice makes perfect; but practicing the same subject over and over in the same day is not a good idea.
You have to repeat it in different sessions so that what you are trying to learn/ memorize can be glued in your long-term memory.
Practice makes permanent but just a little everyday.

P.S. I've read most of this in a course called Learning how to learn
