• have a warm bath with bubbles, salts, the works

• drink decaf tea with a good book (I like to read my favourite books when I’m stressed, nothing new to comprehend)

• lay on the ground or sit on a comfy surface, close your eyes, and take some deep breaths

• go for a walk around your neighbourhood, use music if it works for you but sometimes you just need to clear your head

• write down the great things in life or how you currently feel, this will help you realize your emotions/stress from a different view

• talk to somebody trustworthy and understanding. this can be a relative, friend, etc.

• do some yoga or some exercise. after, you will feel more energized and happy.

• use green space! studies show people who go outside and experience nature are happier and more calm.

• try aromatherapy. this works for some people! pop some lavender or jasmine oil into your diffuser or on your arms.

• do something creative! use watercolours, try scrapbooking, make a gift for a friend. whatever you like to do.

• stretch as often as possible.

• write down a list of everything that you need to do and prioritize. figure out if some things can be made easier or are not even necessary.

• pet animals. I read somewhere that petting an animal for 10+ minutes can help you calm down.

• eat something nutritious. I’d recommend almonds, mangos, spinach, or broccoli.

• also, stay hydrated.

• eat less caffeine and sugar so you don’t feel hyper. this makes stress so much worse!

• prioritize sleep. maybe you should nap if it fits into your schedule!

• shut off your phone for a few hours. just unplug! maybe you are stressed because of the standards of the internet, or people constantly messaging you.

• if you feel overly anxious/stressed please talk to your doctor. they will try to help you out! they might refer you to a therapist or recommend things to add onto your lifestyle
