Hello, lovely Hearters! I hope you're having a fantastic Sunday!

I've been thinking a lot about what personal journey I want to take when the new year comes around. At the end of this year, I'm going to be creating a system and list on how I'm going to embark on this adventure.

Before I get into this article, I think a little background information is required. So here we go.

Background Info

I am currently a sophomore in community college, which means after next semester, I'll be attending a University, which is absolutely crazy. If I work hard enough, I'll be able to get a great scholarship at a great college in Ohio. But next semester doesn't determine my fate as much as this current semester does.

This year (2018), I've been trying to figure out how to cope with newfound anxiety. It's been a bit difficult. So, my purpose of this journey is to find my "word," something to focus on in the new year and complete a series of tasks to not only broaden my mind but to cleanse my soul, as well.

The List

Here's what I'm hoping to achieve in the new year. If you have any recommendations, I would love to hear them. I'm always open to new ideas.

  • Read more books (poetry, classic, teen fiction, fiction, etc.)
  • Broaden my vocabulary
  • Go on more adventures
  • Actually keep a bullet journal
  • Read my Bible more
  • Stay healthier
  • Create a more comfortable space
  • Learn a new language
  • Start an inspiring movement (ideas are welcome, and partners would be great, as well)
  • Find "my word" and focus on it through the year
  • Figure out my passion
  • Make friends who are better for me
  • Blog more
  • Avoid stress

If you have any tips or any

ideas that you think will help me make the best of this upcoming year, I would greatly appreciate it. This year has been a mental battle. While I won't be erasing it, I'll be learning from it and closing this chapter to start a new one.
