Don't believe me? Let me show you.

I haven't worn make-up for 1 month and I feel so much better about myself! I just got tired of spending 20 minutes every morning covering up the spots on my face with make-up. I hate make-up; I hate putting it on, I hate wearing it, I hate taking it off - the only thing I liked about it was that it covered my spots.

Eventually, I decided to stop wearing make-up all together. I wanted to get rid of the spots and I didn't think the make-up was helping.

At the beginning, I was repulsed by the look of my bare face and I gave in to the temptation to cover a 'few' big spots with concealer but what I found was the more big ones I covered, the more the little ones that stood out - it was addictive and I was never satisfied! In the end, I banned concealer all together.

After a month of not wearing make-up, I have seen many improvements, not just to my face but to my life too! Yes, the spots have mostly cleared up with the help from some cream from the nurse, but I also have so much more time in the morning which is way more relaxing! To add to this, I feel way more 'free' in the sense that I can rub my eyes and rest my face in my hands without the worry of ruining my make-up and finally I am SO MUCH MORE CONFIDENT IN MY OWN SKIN! I look in the mirror and feel like it's actually me in the reflection and what's awesome is that my face makes me smile now.

Don't get me wrong, I'm not saying that wearing make-up makes you less beautiful. Some people can make themselves look gorgeous with the art they put on their faces but I was just using spending tonnes of money of something to cover my imperfections and I was sick of it. I'm now embracing my imperfections because there's nothing that makes me more me!

Here's some pictures of my awesome blank canvas; I hope you enjoy yours as much as I enjoy mine xx
