As a sequel to my first article Books to heal your soul (part one) , this article is going to focus more on poetry and prose. More or less books that will literally heal and mend your soul.

1. Milk and Honey - Rupi Kaur

"It takes grace to remain kind in cruel situations"
book, roses, and flowers image

Milk and Honey is divided into four chapters, and each chapter serves a different purpose. Deals with a different pain. Heals a different heartache. Milk and Honey takes readers through a journey of the most bitter moments in life and finds sweetness in them because there is sweetness everywhere if you are just willing to look.

2. The sun and her flowers - Rupi Kaur

"day by day i realise everything i miss about you was never there in the first place"
aesthetic, art, and book image

Divided into five chapters and illustrated by Kaur herself, the sun and her flowers is a journey of wilting, falling, rooting, rising, and blooming. A celebration of love in all its forms.

3. Buried light - Beau Taplin

“Home is not where you are from, it is where you belong. Some of us travel the whole world to find it. Others, find it in a person.”

Extraordinary insights of love, loss and living, littered with beautiful scenic pictures. Buried lights with it's relatable poems discusses the bitterness of love, growth and the heartache of loss. Written with the passion and purpose to lift, encourage and remind people they are not alone in what they are experiencing.

4. Worlds of you - Beau Taplin

Capturing the essence of love and heartbreak, challenges and paradoxes, yearning and fulfilment, and attaching that to magical, majestic life. 5. Everything's going to be okay - Blue mountain arts

This is the handbook on how to hang in there, maintain a positive outlook, and move towards a brighter day. It will give readers a deeper appreciation for what they can do to see their way through anything. This book takes us on a journey, and the steps along the way deal with hope, healing, coming up with a Plan B, staying strong, and achieving a wonderful result. Filled with positive messages and advice from fascinating, well-known people, this unique collection will guide readers through difficult times and help them continue on with faith and confidence.

6. Sea of strangers - Lang Leav

“Take Back Your Power. Greet the world with no expectation. Love as though you have never been hurt or betrayed. Let go of the ones who take so much from you yet offer nothing in return. This is how you take back your power.”

With the turn of every page, Sea of Strangers invites you to go beyond love and loss to explore themes of self-discovery and empowerment as you navigate your way around the human heart.

7. The witch doesn't burn in this one - Amanda Lovelace

"Maybe i'm not the crazy ex-girlfriend
Maybe I'm a person reacting rationally
To the abuse & disregard for women
That society has somehow
Convinced us is completely normal
- I refuse to pretend anymore."

The witch: supernaturally powerful, inscrutably independent, and now—indestructible. These moving, relatable poems encourage resilience and embolden women to take control of their own stories. Enemies try to judge, oppress, and marginalize her, but the witch doesn’t burn in this one.

8. Born to love, cursed to feel - Samantha King

"If you want something different you have to stop accepting what you're used to"

Born to Love, Cursed to Feel is about love—the good, the bad, and the confusing. It touches on morals and how when emotions are involved it’s not as black and white. The poetry is frequently written in a narrative manner that evocatively pulls you in and makes you feel. This book is about falling in love, bad decisions, and ultimately growth. The essence of it all is to show that no matter how far one falls all the mistakes don’t have to be what defines them.

9. The power of now - Eckhart Tolle (not poetry)

"You are here to enable the divine purpose of the universe to unfold. That is how important you are!"

A challenging but extraordinary rewarding journey to find the power of now. We learn that we can find our way out of psychological pain; authentic human power is found by surrendering to the now; the silence and space all around us is one of the keys to entering inner peace. In the now, the present moment, problems do not exist. In the now, we discover that we are already complete and perfect.

I hope you all enjoyed this list of uplifting and enlightening books, until next time.
This was made with magic and love
