Hi Guys, I was suppose to do Day 8 yesterday but my wrist is hurting due to past injury problems, nothing super serious I just have to wear a wrist brace for now. However, I will be doing Day 8 and 9 today. Day 8 is about one of my struggles, I struggle with Depression. Depression is a medical illness that negatively affects how you feel, the way you think and the way you act.

I struggle with depression on a daily basis especially when the fall season is ending and the winter season is about to begin, months September - February to be exact. It began at the age of 16 and dealt with it by myself until age 18. I did have people who knew but they didn't know how to help me, honestly I never expected them to. I didn't know how to deal with it myself. Now by the age of 22 I deal with it in a better way and I don't let it consume my life anymore.

Here are some tips I recommend trying out if you have depression:
◙ Surround yourself with people who love and care for you
◙ Try new hobbies (I know this might be hard but trust me do things you love!)
◙ Get away from negative people, you don't need those people in your life
◙ Go out and discover new places
◙ Motivate yourself ( set goals!)

These are just a few things that might help, hopefully they do. I did all of these and they really helped me out especially doing things I love such as reading. Just because you have depression does not mean life is over its the beginning of something beautiful!!! My name is elipoise and I am a SURVIVOR.
