Lately, I realized how much little things really mean. Even though it sounds like a cliche, it is very true for every aspect of our lives.

When it comes to relationships, whether with other people or yourself, little details and efforts can change the whole experience.

In the past few weeks I have had very little time for myself or other people because I had to study for my exams.

What I was looking forward to the most was finally finishing a book I wanted to read for a long time (Douglas Adams' The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy), having time to drink coffee in the morning on my balcony, spending more time with my dog & just chill and observe the world and people around me.

You see, those are the little things - but, boy, did I miss them!

Now that I finally have time, I feel so blessed to be able to all of those things again.

When it comes to relationships with other people, I appreciate people who take the time to text me, who remember to wish me good luck when I take trips or have exams, or who call me just because they've missed talking to me. It just shows me their appreciation & makes me love them even more.

I am beyond grateful that I have a bunch of people in my life that are just like that. All of them are total keepers. :)

This is what kind of person I'm trying to be as well. I want to be someone who makes people feel good & loved. Every being needs it - and that feeling can never be achieved by someone buying you the most expensive material things or taking you to fancy places. That's why they say it really is in the LITTLE things.

Pay attention to details.
Spend more time making your breakfast tomorrow.
Put some cinnamon in your coffee.
Add some bath salt next time you hop under the shower.
Wish someone good morning or sweet dreams.
If your friend is working double shifts, surprise them with energy drink.

You just might make someone else's / your own day great!
