Why are smoothies good?

Before we get into the recipe, why are smoothies so good for you? If you aren't interested feel free to skip over this part :)
Anyways, smoothies, if made properly can be high in protein, low in sugar, and have many vitamins. They're perfect for on the go because they're very simple to make!

For this simple and easy strawberry banana smoothie you will need:

  • 1 cup plain nonfat yogurt
  • 1 Banana
  • 1/2 cup orange juice
  • 6 frozen strawberries


Temporarily removed

In a blender, combine all listed ingredients (and other additions or alterations you might have made) Blend for around 20 seconds. If needed, scrape down the sides and blend for an additional 15 seconds or until desired effect. Pour it into a glass or bowl, top it off with whatever you like and enjoy!
