Dear anonymous,
this will be real talk. If you are not up to it, you will probably not like my answer. I want to tell you something: If you don’t think you are worthy, nobody else will. Nobody will come and save you. Nobody knock on your door and give you a whole new life with a new body and a big house. This is not how life works. But you being alive is a miracle. Do you know what the chances are of you being born? Like zero, but still you are here. This is your one shot of being alive. You are this unique person with unique talents and it is your job to find out what you are good at. You don’t have any goals? Now you have one: Find out what your talent is and you have one. You want to disagree? Have you tried every single thing you can do on this earth? I doubt that. You probably tried 5-10. Try 100, try 1000 if necessary. You need somebody to motivate you everyday? Find an accountability group and then just start working. You don’t want to be stupid anymore? Start learning. You don’t want to be lazy anymore? Start being disciplined. Discipline is like a muscle that needs to be trained. You won’t be perfect in a day, but over years you will see how far you have come. Every day a little step. In my opinion you should start with the things you say to yourself. Start working on your self love and things will fall into place. Talk nice to yourself in your head, even if feels weird at first. Make yourself affirmations and smile to yourself in the mirror. I wish you the best and I know that you can be happy. Love, Nadine

Dear Anonymous, I completely understand how you feel and to be honest I used to be ‘you’ a few years ago and to some extent I still am. But over the past few there were a couple of things I realised along the way that I want to tell you right now and I hope this will help you out in some way,
For one. You need to love yourself. You really do, no matter how amazing and intelligent you are if you’re not loving yourself and the person you are, life is honestly going to be a drag everyday. The real difficulty is to overcome how you think about yourself. And, I’m not saying it’s easy, it’s really really difficult to overcome everything you find flawed in yourself but even a small step towards it is a huge battle conquered. I’d like you to realise that you’re not nothing or useless because everyone has their purpose in life and just because you’ve not found yours, it doesn’t make you any less than those who’ve figured it out. Finding your purpose in life doesn’t happen overnight or in a week, it takes trying and searching and finding things you love doing and then working on yourself to become the best at it.
You’re not stupid, you just haven’t found the thing you’re good. No one can be good at everything, so you really can’t judge your intellect based on; maybe your grades or the few things you’ve tried your hand at. I sucked at school, really bad. But, I’m doing really well at law school. If I was to judge myself based on my performance at school where I was studying things I had no interest in, I’d also be stupid. But if I was really stupid I wouldn’t be good anything right? Just like that, you are also probably really good at something and you need to try and experience things, until you find that something!
The best way to be motivated is to imagine yourself as the kind of person you want to be, 5 years from today and work on being that person. And, don’t ever forget that imagined picture until you get there! I hope I helped you a little here and I hope you find your mojo. If you ever want to talk more, feel free to dm me!
Love, Kashish
