Do you ever watch so many movies that your mind goes blank when people ask what are your favorite movies? Because thats me haha. But seriously, I have watched so many movies that it becomes hard to list them, but I will do my best.

This will be in no particular order!

1. Spirited Away

Honestly, I think this has to be my all time number one favorite movie. I have watched it since I was a kid and it always made me cry in different ways. The last time I watched it, I introduced it to my boyfriend and he enjoyed it and saw me blubber like a baby. It is about a ten year old girl name Chihiro who stumbles across an abandoned amusement park which turns out to be a spirit world after her parents turned into pigs. It's an amazing adventure movie and has a beautiful soundtrack that will make you cry.

2. Ponyo

I am realizing this may become a Studio Ghibli list, but they make the most amazing films. I have not watched it in so long, but I can remember it being so entertaining to watch. A goldfish princess encounters a human boy name Sosuke who gives her the name Ponyo. The film places an emphasis on the natural world and it is done beautifully. Highly recommend.

3. Grave of the Fireflies

Another Studio Ghibli film, but this one is geared towards a semi-autobiographical, but a sadder film. It tells the story of siblings who are living through WW2 in Japan after being separated from their parents. It is a heartbreaking film that is hard to watch, but it is worth watching at least once. It gives you a glimpse of the reality of life. Although, WW2 is over, but the idea and methods of war is not over and gives you a glimpse of how two young children live through it and tried to survive.

4. Avengers: Endgame

I was very late to the Marvel films, but better late than never. My boyfriend introduced me to the franchise and I have fallen in love with it ever since. I think it is safe to spoil endgame, but it put me through a rollercoaster of emotions. I laughed, I cried, but most of all, it gave a beautiful ending for both of the most popular superhero characters in marvel.

5. Mirai

anime, cartoon, and sips tea image

I discovered this film through a book and it was one of the recent ones I have watched. A young boy named Kun meets his newborn sister named Mirai. He begins to feel forgotten after all the attention is brought to her. Running away from home, he stumbles on a magical garden that works as a time traveling gateway where he meets past relatives and his little sister as a teenager. It is a cute movie and made me smile a lot.

Thank you and I hope you come to enjoy these films too!
