This book was everything I wanted in a contemporary and more! SLAY by Brittany Morris follows a girl who creates her own virtual reality video game centered around Black culture. I loved seeing how this story was so openly celebrated by Blackness. This book also has such a wonderful sister relationship which I really felt jump off the page!
