Why self-care is so important?
Taking care of your body, mind, and soul is a key part of being able to function in society and being healthy. When one aspect is being neglected it can affect the rest of your body. Especially at this time when people are being tested by the world, we need to take care of ourselves.
Self-care isn’t just taking a bath and doing a face mask. Self-care is paying bills, taking your medication, having a shower, changing your bedsheets and your clothes, eating healthy food, getting fresh air, going to therapy, or speaking out to someone…. And the list can go on.

Ways you can feel better through self-care.
These are ways you can feel better which can better your mood and make you feel better mentally, physically, and spiritually.

Taking a shower, and not just standing there, actually washing your body.
This will help you heal your body and relieve any muscle tension from the hot water and will make you feel cleaner. When you get out of the shower, put on clean clothes, moisturize your body, and drink some water.

Taking your medication.
This is probably the most important part of taking care of yourself. Please remember that if you decide to stop taking your medication without the guidance of your doctor you can seriously harm your-self. Please make sure if you want to change your medication you talk to a doctor. If you feel like your doctor is not right for you then go out and find one you connect with.

Doing your homework.
I probably sound like your mum, but doing your homework or studying can be a great way to stimulate your brain and release endorphins. If you know you have work to do, try solidly working for 5 minutes, no distractions. If you are really not interested in doing your work after the 5 minutes, then stop and try again later, but at least you did that 5 minutes.

Sleeping enough.
Sleep is such an important aspect of staying healthy. Your body will literally shut down without sleep, and we all function better when we have a good night's sleep. Please make sure you are going to bed at a normal time and NOT staying on your phone all night. If you are not sleeping enough, then you are at risk of developing diabetes and not properly functioning. This is for all the kids who stay up until 3-4 am in the morning studying. If you are studying when you are tired your brain will not retain information, so you might as well just go to sleep.

I really hope that this helped you and gave you some insight into somethings you can do to feel better, I might do a part 2 because I have so many ways of self-care.
