Hi all!

I thought I would work on @Nataliporzia 's project for the Gazette called SEASONS.
My topic today, as it says in the title is:

Summer Self Care Tips

My tips are a little different than most self-care tips. Just because it’s summer doesn’t mean you don’t have responsibilities. There are many people on here who release their summer routines and while it’s great that many of these people have all day, not everyone gets that due to jobs or children or other responsibilities.

Therefore, here are my four self-care tips:

1 | exercise when it’s cooler

It can get HOT in the summer. Many people are okay with exercising at the hottest part of the day, which is usually mid-afternoon. If you feel up to exercising, try doing it when it isn’t so hot, either in the mornings or after dinner in the evenings.

2 | Frozen healthy meals

Now don’t shame on frozen meals.

And I’m not talking frozen microwave $1 meals that are chicken nuggets and a brownie.

I’m talking about the more well-balanced meals, like stir fry or pasta with veggies and meat. If you hunt around the frozen section of your grocery store, you’re sure to find some gems.

After a long days’ work or of having fun, having access to a meal you can quickly throw in the microwave or on to the stove can be incredibly helpful. I even love cooking, but after a long workday I really just want to sit down. Frozen healthy meals have been my savior and they could be yours too.

3 | cool baths/showers before bed

When its incredibly hot out, I like to take a cool bath before bed. It can be really hard to sleep when it’s so hot out, it can be helpful to cool yourself down before falling asleep.

4 | rest

Do what you can to rest. It’s hot and can be muggy and tiring. Don’t be ashamed to take naps or drink a nice cup of tea alone on the porch in the morning.

This can be the time to take a little time for yourself.
