Sometimes we just need a clean slate to feel normal again after a busy week or after a major change or sometimes we just need one to switch things up a bit. Regardless, resetting is a difficult experience, but I’m here to guide you!

Changing the kind of music you listen to changes your attitude. Generally whenever I feel myself starting to become upset with my life or simply want to change my mindset, I pick up a whole new genre that improves my personality.

It’s kind of a strange piece of advice, but it wouldn’t hurt to try…

Routines are hard to follow, I know. I used to hate them because it felt too restricting and stressful, but now that I think about it I was just creating really bad routines. You see, the thing about routines is that they’re personal and though following someone else’s may seem easy at first...it’s not. Obviously you should look for routine ideas to help you research, but in the end you save yourself more time and energy by building your own.

Here’s how I built my routine-

↳ 1. Figure out what you spend most of your day doing, is it productive?

↳ 2. Clearly identify your goals (e.x. study for an exam, lose weight, & learn piano).

↳ 3. Write down the steps you’d need to take to reach your goal (e.x. for weight loss: drink more water, eat fresh, and workout).

↳ 4. Jot down the time you’d like to wake up at and the time you’d like to go to bed at to know how much time you’d have for your routine.

↳ 5. Use time blocks! Schedule an hour or however long to purely dedicate to completing an activity.

↳ 6. Don’t be super specific (this is for all the control freaks like me lol) that way you don’t get frustrated if you couldn’t do the specific task.

↳ 7. Add alerts to your phone to remind yourself when it’s time to do something.

↳ 8. Put your phone somewhere else to concentrate on what you need to get done.

↳ 9. Plan out what you need to get done in the morning.

↳ 10. Give yourself some free time.

Ahh! This is my favorite one, room makeovers have always been my # 1 hobby and honestly it’s not very difficult unless you want to go all out. To reorganize it look through room inspiration pictures and get creative with what you have! I also recommend printing out pictures from Pinterest or making your own original paintings to decorate with.
