hi lovelies!

I hope you are all well & taking care of yourselves. today's article is another journal entry & today's headline/topic is: angels with smiling faces!

we are amidst the best 10 days of the year, and I just wanted to take a moment to share a video (which I have linked at the end of this article) that I really love. it's one of those videos that always reminds me of what I really should be working for and that's my life Hereafter.

we often don't like to think about death, even though it is the one guarantee that we've been given. whether you're religious or whether you aren't─death is something that is agreed upon. we all know that we are going to leave this world one day. it's inevitable. but have you ever thought about how you would want to die?

no one wants a bad ending. and subhanallah, I've heard of many sad stories about how people have past in situations that are far from ideal. we don't know how or when we will die but you know the thing that we can control is?

we can control what we do right now.

right now, we have that choice to do what has been obligatory upon us, to pray our 5 daily prayers, give our zakah and more. we have the ability to simply utter words of dhikir, words of remembrance that cost us absolutely nothing, but in return are rewarded for greatly. we have the chance to change because we are alive right now, we are breathing right now.

we can do our absolute best with the life we have been given to work hard to please our Maker so that by His will, He will return us to Him when He is most pleased with us!

so stop thinking that you are a lost cause or that you will never be forgiven! remember who your Lord is─He is Ar-Rahman, Al-Ghafur Al-Ghaffar and At-Tawwab─ The Most Merciful, The Forgiver of sins, The Most Forgiving and The Acceptor of Repentance!

"O son of Adam! As long as you call me and plead with me, I forgive you all that you have done, and I do not mind. O son of Adam! If your sins reach the clouds in the sky and then you seek My forgiveness, I forgive you and I do not mind. O son of Adam! If you meet Me with the earth as a container full of your sins, and then you meet Me associating none with Me, I will come to you with its fill of forgiveness."
(Tirmidhi)

so remember that it's never too late! Allah is waiting for you.

you've got this! keep going, and remember Allah loves you.

I've been thinking and trying my best to remember death and to prepare for it because I so badly want to be of the ones who not only have a good ending, by the permission of Allah, but to also be of those who leave this world with a smile on their face.

and the cause of this smile is because of angels with bright, smiling faces who come to this person just moments before they die telling them 3 things:

"don't be scared,
no need be sad,
we have brought you glad tidings of jannah!"

"Indeed, those who have said, "Our Lord is Allah" and then remained on a right course - the angels will descend upon them, [saying], "Do not fear and do not grieve but receive good tidings of Paradise, which you were promised."
(Surah Fussilat 41:30)

I actually know a friend of mine whose father passed away years ago who left this world with a smile, and I pray that Allah makes his life in his grave easy for him and grants him jannah tul firdous!

finally, I pray that Allah keeps all of our hearts steadfast and continues to guide us along the straight path no matter how lost we may get in this world. I pray that Allah will only bring death upon us when there is goodness in it for us and when He is most pleased with us. I pray that we be among those who leave this world with a smile, and I pray that all of us be reunited in jannah tul firdous with our loved ones.
