Today as you will have read in the title, I bring you my daily routine in quarantine. But I wanted to make it special, so I will tell you in ten steps what my day consists of: let's start !!

First, we are going to put ourselves in context, I am from Spain and here it is now allowed to go out and travel but always maintaining social distance and with a mandatory mask, today's routine is what I do being in my town. I hope you like it!

1- Good morning!

My routine begins at half-past nine in the morning. Now I no longer have online classes, but even so, I usually get up at the same time to carry a real routine, so that even if it is a very strange year, try to have at least a routine.
As soon as I get up, I go to the bathroom and then I have breakfast!
Here I will be honest, I don't usually prepare or eat anything very special for breakfast. But these past few days I have been taking honey cookies with a cup of tea.

Now I leave you the recipe in case you want to do it:

Bonus in the routine: honey cookie:

  • 1 cup white sugar
  • 1 cup shortening
  • 1 cup honey
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger

Step 1
In a saucepan over low heat, melt together sugar, shortening and honey. Let cool.

Step 2
Mix together eggs, vanilla, baking soda and ginger. Gradually add to cooled honey mixture.

Step 3
Slowly add 4 cups of flour to the mixture. Stir until well blended. Drop by teaspoonfuls onto cookie sheets about 2 inches apart. Bake at 350 degrees F (180 degrees C) until golden (about 12-15 minutes).

2- Everything is better with music

After breakfast, I go back to my room to make the bed and order the room in general. This can be very boring, but that's what music is for, to cheer us up!

Morning playlist:

Les Champs-Elysées - Joe Dassin
Friends - Why Don´t We.
Know me Too Well - New Hope Club, Danna Paola.
On the road again - Willie Nelson.
22 - Tini, Greeicy.
Fire Drill - Melanie Martinez.

3- Time to work

After this, I sit at my desk and start working here at We Heart It. This week I have more articles to write since I have to leave many articles ready to post because in a week I will not have the computer and I will have to wait a while until I can return to use it.
But I am very grateful to be part of groups in which I am learning so much. So, work has been said!

4- We all need to talk

Especially in this difficult situation, we all need to talk and express what we feel to others, so before lunchtime, I take the opportunity to talk to my family or make a video call with my friends, even make plans with them, although not much can be done outside.

5- Half of the day

After this, I have lunch and then I watch some scary series or movie that my best friend has recommended to me. Yes, I have to admit that I love scary movies!

6- Workout time:

I don't do this every day because there are times when I just want to lie in bed and watch YouTube, but most days I look for videos with various exercises to move around a bit.
I have done a lot of Chloe Ting, but also a Spanish channel called: Gym Virtual in case you want to stop by and see any of her videos!

Here I leave you a calendar for making exercises every day.

7- Commençons!

And after resting a little, I study French or I decorate some page of my bullet journal.

Regarding the first, I love studying languages, and French is absolutely beautiful. I would love to write an article with tips to study a language, or at least the ones I use since I love reading them and it also motivates me a lot to continue.

And regarding the Bullet Journal, I started doing it when the quarantine started in Spain (on March 9 if I'm not mistaken), and I didn't think I would go as far with it. I think I have been improving every month and it is certainly something that has distracted and helped me during these months. To inspire me what I usually do is see Pinterest or even articles here!

8- Friends ´till the end

Again I don't do this every day, but hopefully, there are some other days that we can hang out and talk. It is different from how we did it in February, but the situation has changed a lot since then, so we must adapt and although it is not the same, it is great to be able to see your best friends after three months.

9- Home again

And after this, it's time to go home, take a shower and do our skincare routine.
  • Once a week, gently exfoliate the skin to remove all dead skin cells. I use one with natural apricot micro granules and the truth is that it is working.
  • Then I wash my face with a cleanser, the best-known brand for this is CeraVe, but I use one by Pierre Fabre dermo-cosmetic (eau thermal avène clearance).
  • And finally now CeraVe, a moisturizer.

Sure there are more extensive and better routines, but it is only a matter of asking professionals and discovering what is best for your skin!

10- Midnight

And here I think my favorite moment of the day comes. I love the night, looking out the window and seeing small lights, playing music and just looking at the vastness of the night.
Many times I usually watch a series, read, or simply write whatever comes to mind. During the night it is where I feel most creative. Is it for any special reason?

And this is it, I hope you have loved it! Thank you very much for reading this far, and if you want more, you can read other articles in the We Heart It Gazette account.

Until next time!
