สœแด‡สŸสŸแด!

So episode five of I-Land just finished a few minutes ago (which by the time I post this article it will be awhile ago), and I had a few things I wanted to talk about! Again, the topics I bring up are just my opinion so please respect it. Enjoy!

๐’๐๐Ž๐ˆ๐‹๐„๐‘ ๐€๐‹๐„๐‘๐“- If you have not watched the show yet (It is still going on) and are planning on watching it, it is best if you do not read this, but if you don't mind spoiling it then continue! That being said, let's get onto my opinions of episode five.

As a lot of people were, I was expecting Ground team to win, both vocals and dancing. I was a bit questionable about Ground winning the vocal round but I still had hope. I was shocked though, as many others were, when both Ground teams lost to I-Land. It did give us a funny moment for I-Landers though doing K's hello wave pose when they came back from winning.

(This is the I-Landers reaction after winning)

(I will also leave Grounders here but it is sad)

So for the final mission the trainees were given a new song to perform and both I-Landers and Grounders will have to learn that song and perform it. Every trainee mentioned how part five is a good part to get and that you really stand out, and therefore every trainee wanted that part. At first I was expecting the trainees who want the part not to speak up about it, because that is a recurring thing happening, where a trainee who wants the part is too scared to try out for it. I was surprised to see that all the trainees who wanted the part gave a shot at it. Probably because this the last mission and there last chance on this show to stay in I-Land or to get up into I-Land.

Six people in total will be voted off. Three chosen from the I-Landers themselves and three from the producers (judges). Global Voters then will vote for the last six to move up to I-Land. This means that this is the people in grounds last chance to move up before the final twelve are announced.

This goes along with the last point. Since six would be voted off not based on the teamwork score, most trainees agreed that it would be best to work individually more than as a team. A few trainees struggled with this, though and those in I-Land ended up going to Jay to ask him to help them. Which did tire and stress Jay a bit.

One thing I was worried about was that it is still a group dance and if they all don't practice by dancing together how would they know the correct formations? But near the end they all did practice together and helped the ones who needed it.

For ground, they still wanted to choose a leader for the team, and all chose Ni-ki, but Ni-ki decided not to be the leader. He was still probably upset by how his dance team lost and didn't need another burden on him, and I respect and understand that. He is very young and will all the trainees telling him to be the leader after he stated he feels like he is the reason his team lost, it must be hard.

Though, in the end he did end up being the Ground team's leader. Trainer Rain came and lectured them about having more confidence in themselves and that this is there last chance and they can't waste it. He also lectured them on not having a leader and said leader is the most important part, which drove Ni-ki to becoming the leader and helping the Ground team perfect their performance.

So Mnet decided that instead of giving us the last two performances and the other trainees that were voted off, they would just give us Seon. At first, they only showed his back and slowly started going up the back of his head, making it suspenseful as to who it could be. I thought either Sunghoon or Seon since they both are tall, and as the trainee began to turn around it was revealed it was Seon. I felt my heart break because even though he is not my number one pick seeing him cry so hard was honestly hard to watch, especially when this really is his last chance. He failed Produce 101 Season 2 and almost debut another time but the debut was cancelled. All of his friends debut except him and since now all he has is the Global voters he probably feels as though he will fail and not make it.

I was then shocked to see the wave of support for him. Which actually made me laugh, because he is known as the most hated trainee in the show thanks to Mnet's notorious editing, where they make a certain trainee look bad. People kept calling him a snake and two-faced in the live chat even when he wasn't being shown on screen. Then, when it was revealed he was sent to ground all of a sudden everyone started acting like his fan and saying to vote for him. I saw comments like, "Nooo Seon." "Why Seon?" "Bring Seon back!" Ironic, honestly. Talk about two-faced. Does no one else realize this?

At the same time, this really proves that Seon is a glue to I-Land. Many people may not like him, but right as he left everyone wanted him back. He does truly care for the trainees and no one should blame him because it is actually the other trainees that go to him and tell him to say their opinions to another trainee. They basically use Seon to tell others their opinions. I think this makes Seon a good leader and I hope more people realize that because he would be a good addition to the group.

(This clip is Seon being sent to ground. If you skip more towards the end you will see it)

Let's talk about the issues. The only issue is that everyone is complaining about how people will only vote for the trainees in their country or trainees with the same nationality. I don't mind this though because anyone would want to vote for someone from the same place as them. One thing I don't personally agree with is the voting visuals over talent, but honestly this survival show only has talented trainees in my opinion and I don't think there would be any bad additions to this group.

I also saw comments stating for people not to vote for their favorite and to vote talent instead, which I had to take a moment to pause and just went:

ANYWAYS, here is how to vote:

(This is a really good video on how to vote!)

That's all for now and honestly this episode was a roller coaster ride of emotions. I'm very excited but nervous for next week's episode and I wish all of your picks luck in making it!
