What did you think of the book?

—I really enjoyed it and talk about a well written book, every single word in this book had an importance and it was full of so much symbolism. I also enjoyed reading this book because it takes place during such a cool time period—roaring 20s—and experiencing the dialogue, culture, and lavish parties was pretty amazing.

What was the most interesting/surprising/intriguing/challenging part of the book?

—The ending of the book had me so surprised (last three chapters mainly), and I could not put down the book so I could find out what happened next. the ending pulled at my heartstrings a little. Also, the symbolism in this book was very well thought out and there is just so much to think about after reading this book.

What are you going to take away from this book?

— there were many messages and themes present in this book but two of the main ones that I will keep with me are: 1) money can't buy you love or friends and 2) its not easy to leave your past behind.

Favorite Character(s): Jay Gatsby and Nick Carraway
Least Favorite Character(s): Daisy Buchanan
Favorite Scene(s): The first party scene, when Nick met Gatsby for the first time.
