Sometimes something bad happens that sets the mood for the rest of the day, and other times we just wake up wishing we could skip the day and go straight to the next day for no reason at all. Whatever the case may be, in this article I will share with you some little things you can do to make the best out of your bad day and don't feel like you wasted it!

Don't Stay In Bed

I know this is the only thing we want to do when we are having a bad day. But it is also the first thing you can do to make today different. Don't give in, and try your best to make something out of this day. Open up your curtains and windows and let in some fresh air and sunlight to start your day!

Be Kind To Yourself

A lot of the times, our thoughts can be kinda toxic and do no good for ourselves. So think of the good things in your life and tell yourself that the bad days are here to help you appreciate the good ones. Tell yourself that you will be okay and that you can move forward. Changing your mindset to a more positive one can make the biggest difference in a day like this.

Take A Shower

Put some good music and take a shower. As the water cleans your body, it will also clean your mind. Even a simple shower can make you feel fresh and new again. The steam will make it feel wonders on your skin, and all the nice smells will stay with you even after you leave the shower. Don't take little things like this for granted. Take your time, and enjoy.

Get Comfy

Put on your favorite comfy outfit. Don't stay in your pajamas tho! Change your clothes into something comfy that feels like pijamas, but that also makes you feel like you are put together to face the day.

Write Down Your Feelings

Why are you feeling this way? How can you change it? Putting things into paper is a great way to clear your mind and understand why you are feeling this way. And once you get to that point, it will be easier for you to move on.

Treat Yourself

Maybe cook or order your favorite food and enjoy it while watching your favorite movie. During a bad day we tend to forget even about the little things in life that makes us happy, so try to surround yourself with them as much as you can.

Get Outside

Sunlight can do wonders to one's mood. Try to get outside at least once a day (even if it isn't a bad day). Fresh air will clear your mind and the warmth of the sun will feel comforting on your skin. It will feel like you paused your life for a little and give you the feeling of a fresh start once you get home again. So take advantage of the weather getting warmer and enjoy being outside!

Do Something Creative

Creative activities will relax your mind. Do some art, try a diy, cook for yourself, play around with an adult coloring book, play an instrument, anything you enjoy!

Get Something Done (even if it is small)

Work on a task that will distract you from whatever is making your day bad. This will also give you a sense of accomplishment once you are done with your task as it will ensure that the day wasn't totally unproductive!

Plan Your Day For Tomorrow

Take a few minutes before bed to plan and organize your day. This will keep tomorrow from turning chaotic or another bad day. Plan tasks and breaks, and try to stick to what you wrote as much as possible.

Go To Sleep Early

Sometimes a good night’s rest is exactly what you need to cope with your bad day. Tomorrow will be a new and better day. Make sure you get enough sleep to feel super rested and new the next day!
