This post is very random but I wanted to share this or at least archive it so that maybe my future self will one day reminisce and relive what I had once felt about something so simple.

Today I was walking through my hometown and saw clothes drying outside. The day was hot with some wind and everything was ordinary. However something about the fresh laundry swaying in the summer breeze made me feel very warm, welcomed and loved.

Perhaps it's the trust in the community which hanging clothing outside symbolises. Knowing everyone and caring for them, their safety and their belongings. But also the vulnerability in trusting someone despite not knowing others' intentions.

Most importantly however, I think it shows the caring nature of those closest to us, especially our mothers, whom raise us despite how horrible and smelly we might be. They wash our dirty clothes, look after and nurture our childhoods, helping us grow into flawed yet beautiful adults.

This might not be the case for everyone, but if this post reaches you, I hope and urge you to do something special to the closest person to you. It doesn't have to be big, maybe a simple and spontaneous "I love you" will do.
