I know I’m a little late for the hype of this movie, but hey... at least I got there! If you don’t know already, Split is a thought-provoking movie that revolves around Kevin, a man who has developed multiple personality disorder.

I'm not going to give any spoilers because this movie is a 10/10-highly recommend! However, I do want to highlight one phrase mentioned in the movie:
"We look at those who have been shattered and different as less than. What if they're more than us?"- Dr.Fletcer (a psychiatrist character in the movie)

This string of words has gotten me thinking, what if this very hypothetical question is actually true? We've all seen a myriad of medical conditions- autism, down syndrome, etc. that's deemed to be "abnormal" in our community. But then again, what are the promises that we're the "normal" ones?

There is a very thin line between being sane and insane in this community. You do this differently, you get judged. You do that differently, you get smirks. In other words, damned if you do, damned if you don't.

My point here is that, who are we to judge? Yes, people with certain conditions may find it difficult to undertake certain tasks that we so easily do without a second thought. But the inability to perform "humanly" activities doesn't make them any less of a human.

Our brains and bodies are mechanisms that have yet to be fully understood. It's absolutely amusing how we're gifted with this complex set of abilities and the journey of uncovering them is more than exciting.

This world belongs to all of us. Therefore with all these abilities, let's all put it for better use, in terms of building and bringing the society we live in forward. Don't forget to be kind and nice to each other too, because at the end of the day, we're all one- a human race.

If you've made it this far, thank youuu for hearing out my train of thoughts. It honestly means a lot for me❤
