1. Gloomy weather
I absolutely love it when the weather is dark and muggy, the sky grey, the fog embracing every tree. It creates a mysterious mood, which I love.
2. Victorian households
I find such houses captivating, mystic, elegant and so romantic! Some key features of them are stone structures, large expanses of glass, roofs made of slate and iron railings.
3. Gothic Literature
Gothic tales allow people to explore a different type of world that includes death and decay, haunted homes and castles, madness, powerful love, the meaning of death, mystery and fear, emotional distress and the supernatural.
4. B & W
When it comes to art and photography I'm a freak for black and white. The mood becomes more intense and emotional, while the absence of color allows concentrating on the subject without any distracting elements. B & W captures the soul.
5. Graveyards
This would seem odd to most people, but I do find graveyards beautiful. It's peaceful and quiet and the atmosphere has something special about it.
6. Villains
Yes... I admire the bad guys both in movies and books. I find myself rooting for villains more than the good guys. Why? Well, they are interesting characters representing the dark side in one's personality. They act based on raw emotions and weaknesses, making their appearance alluring.
7. Dark clothing
I'm always intrigued by the tall dark stranger dressed in black in the corner of the room. Dark fabrics like black lace or velvet are elegant and mysterious.
