Hi Loves! ♡ Today I wanted to share with you my experience & how to overcome self-sabotage. Let me tell you that not everything that has to do with this topic is bad…

What is self-sabotage? Do you self-sabotage? Why do we do it? How do I overcome this?

- Criticizing yourself constantly
- Procrastination
- Not eating properly or over eating
- Comparing yourself to others
- Making up excuses
- Alcohol, drugs
- Being in a relationship that’s not good for you
- You start doing things to ruin the good things that you have in your life
- Staying in your comfort zone

Those are some of the most common examples of self-sabotage, but the thing is that sometimes we do this subconsciously. Self-sabotage is a fear of failure & that’s why we're not allowing ourselves to do what we're meant to do.

Why do we do it?

Because we created a habit, we don't know ourselves or what we want, lack of congruence, other people have the power to influence us, subconsciously we don't believe that we deserve good things in our life…

What we need to be conscious about is that we aren't allowing ourselves to achieve the goals that we want because of that & also that it isn't going to be easy to overcome, but also that it's not impossible. It’s scary? Yes, but we need to be brave.

"Self-sabotage is not all bad when you realize what you're doing, because when you’re conscious about it, then that’s when you take control of the situation & you can start doing something to improve it."

How do you overcome this?

1. You need to start getting to know yourself (like really know who you are, not the idea that you have of yourself or what everyone else thinks about you). Heal the relationship with yourself.

2. Be conscious that your self-sabotaging & I know it's a hard pill to swallow, but if you're committed to become the best version of yourself, then it's worth it.

3. Step out of your comfort zone, be vulnerable & know how to deal with the situations; I know it's easy to say but hard to do… But if you start practicing it, later on you'll be okay doing it.

4. You need to be conscious that not everything in life is going to be easy peasy lemon squeezy & you need to work hard to achieve your goals. Failure is not a good or bad thing, is just a thing.

5. You're good enough, intelligent, kind & know that you deserve all the good in life. Constantly remind this to yourself, to the point where you believe it.
