hey everyone! I've only recently started to take an interest in minimalism and leading a clutter-free lifestyle, so here are some tips/lessons I've learnt along the way.

1. take your time
don't feel pressured to get rid of all your stuff at once. take time to decide what you want to keep and what you want to donate to charity (or throw away if it's not useable)

2. go at your own pace
I know there are tons of people out there sharing their perfect homes with their very few possessions, but don't feel pressured to be just like them instantly. minimalism will mean different things to everyone!

3. know why you want to become a minimalist
before you begin decluttering and adopting a minimalist lifestyle, make a list of the reasons you're making this decision. this will help you keep your motivation and carry on with minimalism.

4. tackle one area at a time
if you start pulling stuff from your bathroom, wardrobe and kitchen all at once, you're going to run out of steam pretty quickly and then lose your motivation to tidy up. so, stick to one area at a time and then move through each category

5. change your mindset
becoming a minimalist doesn't just mean having fewer things cluttering your space, but it also means having a more positive attitude and outlook on life!
