"Youth Trilogy" (also know as "The Most Beautiful Moment in Life Trilogy", "Hwa Yang Yeon Hwa series" or "HYYH series") is the second series of BTS's career, starting on April 17, 2015.

The album was released on April 29, 2015 by Big Hit Entertainment. It is available in two versions and contains nine tracks.

The album debuted at number two on the Billboard World Albums Chart, peaked at number six on the Billboard Top Heatseekers Chart, and entered the Billboard Independent Albums Chart for the first time at number 20, all of which were the highest for any BTS album at the time. The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1 was named by Fuse as one of the "27 Best Albums of 2015 So Far", coming in at 24, with BTS being the only Korean artist to be recognized on the list.
The album debuted at number two on the Gaon Weekly Album Chart and rose to number one the following week. It peaked at number two on the Gaon Monthly Album Chart in May. In China, BTS ranked number one for two consecutive weeks on the Gaon Weibo Chart, a weekly rank of the top 10 most popular Korean artists based on data gathered from China’s most popular social media platform, Weibo. In Japan, the album debuted at number 24 on the Oricon Weekly Album Chart and number 45 on the Oricon Monthly Album Chart. The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1 was the sixth best-selling album in South Korea in 2015 with sales over 200,000 copies.
BTS charted a total of six songs on the Billboard World Digital Songs Chart, with "I Need U" ranked highest at number four, followed by "Dope" (number 11), "Hold Me Tight" (number 12), "Boyz with Fun" (number 13), "Converse High" (number 15), and "Outro: Love is Not Over" (number 25).

The song also managed to crack the top 10 on Melon, Bugs, and Naver Music's real-time music charts. The music video for "I Need U" reached one million views in 16 hours.
On May 5, 2015, "I Need U" won number one on the South Korean music program SBS MTV's The Show, which marked their first music show win since their debut. The group went on to win an additional award on The Show, one on MBC's Show Champion, one on Mnet's M Countdown, and one on KBS's Music Bank, for a total of five awards. In South Korea, the single "I Need U" debuted at number five on both the Gaon Weekly Digital Chart and the Gaon Download Chart with 93,790 digital units sold in its first week. The single went on to accumulate over 850,000 digital downloads.

"Dope (쩔어)" music video garnered one million views in less than 15 hours—the fastest record for any BTS music video at the time."Dope" went on to become the group's first music video to surpass 100 million views on YouTube, making BTS the first K-pop group outside the "big three" Korean entertainment agencies (SM, YG, and JYP) to achieve this feat.

The album was released on November 30, 2015 by Big Hit Entertainment. It is available in two versions and contains nine tracks.

On November 26, it was reported that pre-orders for The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2 had surpassed 150,000 copies, exceeding the group's previous record with The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 1.
All nine tracks from the extended play entered the Gaon Weekly Digital Chart. Within the first week alone, sales for the album reached nearly 90,000 copies on the Hanteo real-time album sales chart.The album subsequently debuted at number one on the Gaon Weekly Album Chart, and further went on to top the Gaon Monthly Album Chart, becoming the first BTS album to do so.
The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2 became the fifth best-selling album in South Korea in 2015 with nearly 275,000 copies recorded on the year-end Gaon Album Chart. A total of eight tracks from the album entered the Billboard World Digital Songs chart, the greatest number of entries BTS had ever managed to chart. The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2 debuted at number 171 on the Billboard 200 with 5,000 copies sold, becoming the band's first release to enter the chart. The album also peaked at number one on both the Billboard World Albums and Heatseekers Albums charts. BTS became the first K-pop act to have the same album spend more than one week on top of the Billboard World Albums chart, with four weeks at number one overall. The album continued to chart on the Billboard World Albums Chart for a total of 22 weeks. The Most Beautiful Moment in Life, Part 2 ranked number four on Billboard's list of "The 10 Best K-pop Albums of 2015", in which the writers commented that "Pt. 2 solidifies BTS' place in the K-pop scene as the band not only showcased their emotional take on hip-hop with the single "RUN," but proved they aren't afraid to tackle topics typically avoided by most K-pop acts."

The "Run" music video, uploaded on both Big Hit Entertainment and 1theK’s YouTube channels, received nearly 2 million combined views in less than 24 hours, the fastest record achieved by BTS at the time. In South Korea, "Run" became BTS' first single to debut at number one on the Melon real-time digital chart.
With "Run", BTS won a total of five number one trophies on South Korean music programs, with one on SBS MTV's The Show, two on MBC Music's Show Champion, and another two on KBS's Music Bank. Run" ranked at number three on Billboard's list of "The 20 Best K-pop Songs of 2015"

The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever

The album was released on May 2, 2016 in two physical configurations, a day version and a night version.The album contains twenty-three tracks.

The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever album became BTS' second consecutive release to chart on Billboard 200, at number 107, the second K-pop act to do so. It debuted at number 2 on Billboard World Albums and number 10 on Billboard Top Heatseekers. The Most Beautiful Moment in Life: Young Forever was reported to have sold over 300,000 copies in pre-sales after less than a week. According to the Hanteo Chart, 100,000 copies of the album were sold within the first three days of release, and 164,868 copies were sold within the first week.
The album topped Gaon Weekly Chart for two consecutive weeks. It also topped the Gaon Monthly Chart in May with just over 310,000 albums sold and became the fourth best selling album on the yearly Gaon Album Chart of 2016. *BTS received their first daesang, or "grand award", with this album—Album of The Year at the 8th Melon Music Awards in 2016.*
BTS topped Billboard World Digital Songs with lead single "Fire," "Save Me," and "Epilogue: Young Forever" lining up the top three ranks of the chart, which had never been achieved by a K-pop act.

After the album and the "Fire" music video were released on May 2, "Fire" became the fastest BTS music video to reach one million views at the time in just 6 hours. The video hit 10 million views in 75 hours. The video for "Fire" ranked first respectively on Most Viewed K-Pop Videos in America, Around the World: May 2016 list revealed by Billboard. BTS also rose to number 15 in the artist category on YouTube Music Global Top 100. BTS topped Billboard World Digital Songs with the single.
"Fire" achieved an 'all-kill' on the South Korean music charts (simultaneous #1's on all charts) and received three number-one trophies on music programs while performing on M! Countdown, Music Bank and Inkigayo.

The video for "Save Me" ranked second respectively on Most Viewed K-Pop Videos in America, Around the World: May 2016 list revealed by Billboard.
BTS topped Billboard World Digital Songs with "Save Me," the number 1 spot being taken by their other single "Fire".
