book, rain, and autumn image

If Iโ€™m being honest, Iโ€™m seriously excited for the new school year. Also, if Iโ€™m being really honest, I have a love-hate relationship with academic institutions. Learning is fun until you realize not all Cโ€™s get degrees, and that you may have been spending one too many weekends at the mall instead of studying. Despite the stress that comes oh so neatly packaged with each school year, I still manage to look forward to it. Iโ€™ll be cooped up in my room like a lunatic planning my year, making lists for stationary supplies I arguably donโ€™t need, and watching countless YouTube videos all under the pretense of โ€œBACK TO SCHOOL!โ€ Summer is fun (well more like the break that is coupled with summer is fun), but by the time July rolls around I have somehow managed to dismantle my sleep schedule or any semblance of a schedule for that matter, and desperately crave the structure of a new school year. When autumn announces itself and the leaves shift from bright greens to vibrant yellows and reds, I am in my element. Sweater weather, in my opinion, is the best weather. So, when the new Fall term commences and the weather becomes a little colder, you can find me in a comically hipster-esque cafรฉ. Quietly hidden in a corner enjoying a warm mug of London Fog whilst aggressively annotating my textbook.
