MAKE THE FIRST MOVE
When meeting new people do not be afraid to make the first move because a lot of people may feel shy and you can be the icebreaker. If you are shy too, try to go beyond your comfort zone, you wont regret it.

ASK QUESTIONS
When meeting new potential friends, ask questions. Learn things about them and let them learn about you. This is the easiest way to find common interests, and when you do that the conversations will just go on naturally.

Questions one can ask;

  • What did you do this summer?
  • Which school did you go to before this and what did you study?
  • Are you from around here? If they say no, ask them why they came to this particular city.
  • What do you do in your spare time?
  • Do you have any hobbies beside school?
  • Which series are you watching at the moment? Do you have any you can recommend?
  • What music do you usually listen to?

MAKE STUDY GROUPS
Within the first month one usually get some type of assignment. Take this chance to make your acquaintance deeper. Suggest a study group where you meet up in the school library or at a cafe to study. In between you can take breaks and just have talk a little or grab a bite. This is a great way to hang out in the beginning.

( If you are over 18 or 21 depending on where you live). Go to the cinema, take a walk in the park, have a picnic and eat good snacks and play some card games. Just go out and be social and have fun.
