In summer, I have a much harder time staying healthy. I'm not confined to my school during lunchtime, so I often find myself going out to eat. Whenever I spend time with my friends, we end up eating lots of unhealthy snacks. While this is fine in moderation, I wanted to write down a day of some of my favorite healthy recepies to inspire myself to stay healthy in summer.

breakfast: avocado toast and eggs

ingredients: whole wheat bread
1/2 avocado
2 eggs
hot sauce

Make scrambled eggs and avocado toast. Top your toast with salt, pepper, and hot sauce. This breakfast is pretty big, so it should keep you full for a while.

lunch: chipotle pasta salad

ingredients: whole wheat pasta
greek yogurt
hot sauce
garlic powder
canned corn
canned black beans
red bell pepper
red onion

Cook pasta. Combine yogurt, hot sauce, salt, pepper, garlic powder, lime juice, and cilantro. Cut pepper and onion. Combine pasta, veggies, and yogurt together.

snack: berries

a light snack that will tide you over until dinner.

dinner: clean out your fridge

ingredients: any veggies you have in your fridge
a protein
hot sauce
soy sauce
salt and pepper
mustard or avocado (optional)

Heat a pan with olive oil and chop your veggies and protein. I like to use onion, zucchini, bell pepper, and sausage for the protein. Add soy sauce, hot sauce, salt and pepper. Put in a bowl. I like to top mine with mustard and avocado.
