if you're heading back to school soon, you're obviously going to end up purchasing five notebooks that look really pretty in the back to school rush. now comes the problem. what on god's green earth are you going to do with all these notebooks. as a fellow paper lover, i've compiled a list of different ways to fill up your books to help you with your notebook predicament!

i wish i was talented enough and had enough time to keep a bullet journal. they're a really good organizational system and are so easy to customize. i recommend doing more research on bullet journals if you're interesting.

𝕘𝕠𝕒𝕝 𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕖𝕣

this one is good to track your goals and what steps you're taking to actually make them happen. you could document how many glasses of water you drank each day or what days you exercised. i recommend sticking to one goal at a time though until it becomes a habit.


i feel like the dorky and nerdy connotations that diaries and journals have need to stop. journalling has been proven to boost mood, reduce symptoms of depression before important events, help people with PTSD, shift negative mindsets to positive mindsets, help people with anxiety and so many more benefits. my question then is why isn't everyone journalling?

you can write your favourite song, tv show, book, or anything from that specific moment. if you do this for every week you can reflect back on what you were obsessed with at any particular week.

𝕞𝕠𝕠𝕕 𝕥𝕣𝕒𝕔𝕜𝕖𝕣

this could be you giving each day a score out of ten or colouring a smiley face a different colour depending on how good or bad the day was. this exercise helps you recognise that its impossible to have good days all the time and thats what makes them so much more enjoyable.

for those of you on the long road of self-discovery, this will challenge you to think about all the things you're grateful about. if you're reading this article on a piece of technology i would assume that you have a lot more to be grateful for than many others.

this is a really positive habit to have

if you have a lot going on in your life, keep a book just for this purpose. write down any loose or wild thoughts. all your worries, doubts, concerns, questions. it doesn't have to make sense either, just let it go.


this one can be one you keep beside your bed to document your recent dreams and just start the day off with a fresh mind

if you find a quote that really resonates with you, write it down. you can write down a quote that really sums up your day and then quotes for your week and month.
