It's actually been awhile since I've written an article, and it feels even longer since I was writing them consistently for a period of time. Anyway, I'm back today with a brand new article on ways that I've found can make you a happier and more positive person. Enjoy!


1) Go to bed earlier and wake up earlier.

It probably isn't the healthiest thing in the world to go to bed and 3am and wake up at 12 in the afternoon. I've noticed in my own life that if I make an effort to go to sleep at around 10-11 and wake up at a reasonable time in the morning I feel more refreshed and well rested. Having a healthy sleep schedule sets your body up for success, which could very well make you happier.

2) Take up a new hobby.

Taking up a new hobby is a great idea to focus your mind on something other than intrusive and negative thoughts. You could try learning a new instrument or language, picking up yoga, or expressing your emotions through art or creative writing. Hobbies are a great way to express yourself and broaden your tray of talents.

3) Get up and move around.

Sitting or laying around all day isn't the best thing for your body, and can have negative affects on your emotions to. Try getting up and walking around to some music, taking a run, or doing a simple workout to wake you up in the morning. You'd be surprised by the results.

4) Write out and say positive affirmations to yourself.

Positive affirmations can be a great way to boost your self confidence and learn to believe in yourself. Tons of people practice this technique with incredible results, and it can be a great way to start your morning off on the right foot. 5) Let go of perfection.

Out of everything mentioned on this list, this might be the hardest to actually achieve. However, studies have proven that making a conscious effort to let go of the idea of perfection can actually make you happier overall. It relieves your mind of the stress of appearing perfect, which could very well boost your mood in the long run.
