There are no rules...there is no limit...IN THE LOVE-HUNGRY WORLD OF THESE YOUNG SOPHISTICATES!

All the Fine Young Cannibals is a 1960 American film directed by Michael Anderson, based on the novel by Rosamond Marshall starring Robert Wagner, Natalie Wood, Susan Kohner, George Hamilton, and Pearl Bailey. Hamilton said it "combined Southern Gothic with a biopic of jazzman Chet Baker".

The minister of the town has died and his son Chad has no tears for him. Sarah, who now calls herself Salome, is pregnant with Chad's baby, but Chad has no future, no job and no money. Therefore, she leaves town on the train heading East. On the train she meets Tony who is heading back to Yale. Tony and his sister Catherine have one thing in common; they are both young, rich and bored with their lives. Salome goes to Yale with Tony and they are soon married, but she does not tell him about Chad or the pregnancy. Ruby takes Chad to New York where he plays trumpet and makes a name for himself. Catherine leaves school and moves in with Tony and Salome, creating tension between the young couple.

The story concerns the lives of Chad Bixby (Wagner) and Sarah "Salome" Davis (Wood) โ€“ how they are forced apart by bad circumstances and brought together by chance. The film examines the experience of starting off "dirt poor" and ending up "idle rich", in a melodramatic style; but concludes that after the changes in lifestyle, the personalities remain the same. The story is loosely based on the life of Chet Baker. The film was the first Wagner and Wood made as husband and wife. The story centers on two married couples and a child. Before both couples married, the husband of one impregnated the wife of the other and now they must decide to whom the children belong.

Chad Bixby: I love ya, Salome, but if I can't have ya, I'm gonna hurtcha

Chad Bixby: Do you think I'm a fool?
Ruby Jones: I think most men are fools, white boy. And most women.

Chad Bixby: Rose, this is Salome.
Rose: Why is she so skinny? Ladies supposed to be fat, and men skinny.
