THE T-BIRD is one half of the OD Entertainment musical x Kpop project 'POPSICAL'. Due to the nature of this project, their promotion is a bit different.
They started their Kpop idol activities with the release of their debut single "Rock Star" on the 14th of March, 2019. Already, they tied in some musical references. The most obvious being their name, derived from The T-Birds from 'Grease'. Another thing was that instead of positions, they released which members were which characters in 'Grease'.
(And, of course, three of the members had already previously debuted as musical actors)
Why they decided to reference 'Grease' has to do with the start of their musical activities in April. That was the month they premiered a modified rock version of the musical, produced by the company's musical branch (OD Musical), along with the other half of the project THE PINK LADIES.
The musical is scheduled to run until the 31st of August.
