usually tap water should be fine but this depends on the country your living in. i live in germany and my tap water quality is so dope that i would never ever buy water in plastic bottles that have to be shipped over a long distance... not good for the environment ya know ;)

  • fairtrade + organic decaf beans
  • one (medjool) date
  • a spoonful of almond butter - put it in a blender with the date
this creates a vibrant coffee taste with lovely caramel and creamy almond flavour.


๐“ช๐“ต๐“ถ๐“ธ๐“ท๐“ญ ๐“ซ๐“พ๐“ฝ๐“ฝ๐“ฎ๐“ป : rich in protein, magnesium, fibre, omega-3 and omega-6 fatty acids, vitamin E, potassium and zinc

๐“ญ๐“ช๐“ฝ๐“ฎ๐“ผ : high amounts of vitamin C and D that improve skin elasticity, anti-aging benefits and they prevent the accumulation of melanin

  • decaf coffee - preferably freshly grinded fairtrade beans
  • a dash of your favourite plant milk - except for soy as it contributes to acne
  • maple syrup or honey - even though honey isn't officially vegan, it's good for you and the environment if you support organic bee farms ;)
  • as much cinnamon as you like - cinnamon keeps your blood sugar stable so any potential damage of our sweetener gets diminished ;)
  • ginger - either grounded or some fresh slices
  • cacao - another wonderful spice that combines health benefits with the taste of chocolate <3
chai is originally made with black tea but as i love the taste of coffee, i just make my own version of this super beneficial drink. it's not a superfood, it's a superdrink! ;)

  • one tablespoon (or less) of organic matcha powder
  • blend a date and your favourite nuts (i usually use pistachios) until it's a smooth mixture
  • add some warming spices like like cinnamon, cacao, ginger or black pepper
this hot cup of lovely flavours is perfect to lift your mood during the cold winter time as well as support your immune system :)

  • a cup of cool water - not too cold yet, that makes it harder to mix
  • one teaspoon of organic matcha

  • a hint of maple syrup or honey
  • some ice cubes
a really chill drink to sip next to the pool. also a nice "wake-up" drink to enjoy while studying.

spinach and kale - super nutrient dense and really good for detoxing your system. but i just really dislike the taste of kale so i'm not gonna torture myself with it lol ^^

anyway, there might be some people out there who do love kale, so here's a basic recipe for a nice detox smoothie:

  • as much kale as you like (about a cup i guess)
  • one cup of plant milk (almond or oat is nice)
  • one banana (the riper, the better)
  • a cube of ginger (at least as big as a sugar cube)
  • fruits of your choice (skin superfruits: pineapple, mango, strawberries...)
green smoothies as well as smoothies or freshly pressed juices in general provide an instant energy boost so they're a great start for the day. smoothies shouldn't be your only meals for the day though, as fructose can be hard on the liver and you shouldn't underestimate the amount of regular sugar that fruits contain. basically what i'm saying is, juices are cool but only drinking blended fruits is actually quite unhealthy.

i'm a huge fan of green smoothies nevertheless, i've been drinking a big glass of blended greens and fruits almost every day for the last months, so i have a lot to say about detox smoothies.

against hormonal acne: "๐“ฌ๐“ต๐“ฎ๐“ช๐“ท๐“ผ๐“ฒ๐“ท๐“ฐ ๐“ถ๐“ฒ๐“ท๐“ฝ"

  • a cup of boiling water
  • there are many kinds of mint, so look for spearmint or moroccan mint - fresh leaves would work
  • some slices of ginger (unless you dislike the taste)
  • if the taste of mint is too boring for you, add some hibiscus or rooibos as these are also good for your skin
these two kinds of mint have hormone balancing effects and can therefore help with hormonal acne. on top of that they taste really nice :)
organic tea and masala chai image

anti-aging: "๐“ถ๐”‚ ๐“ฌ๐“ฑ๐“ช๐“ฒ"

  • a cup of hot water obviously (about 90ยฐC i guess)
  • milky oolong tea (very tasty) or white tea
  • a dash of plant milk
  • as much cinnamon as you like
  • whole cloves (take them out before drinking)
  • grounded cardamom
  • some vanilla extract
  • a tiny bit of sweetener like honey or maple syrup
the original masala (spice) chai (tea) is made with black tea, but black tea isn't the most beneficial kinds of tea (e.g. it stains your teeth) so i usually use tastier and healthier teas :)
