It was a Friday night, I was all alone because my father and stepmother had to go to my brother who, let's just say is not in a good headspace right now. It was around eleven o'clock and I was getting a bit tired, so I decided to go to bed. It was when I reached the bathroom when I heard the first sound. It sounded like the wind, but deeper, since I didn't know what it was I didn't really pay that much attention to it. I looked in the mirror, at my short hair and thought about how my father had screamed when he saw it. But I liked it, and that is all that matters.

I changed in my sleepwear and found my bed. I was quickly to doze off. Eventually I woke up because I heard the sound of my garage door opening, it must have been past midnight. Thinking it would be my parents coming home, I got up out of bed and went downstairs to ask about my brother. In the kitchen I saw nobody, only an open door. I looked outside for a second to see if anybody was there, but there was no one. I closed the door and locked it and figured it must have been the wind I heard earlier.

My phone went off, it was my dad. He said they were going to stay the night at my brother's house, because it was late. With a short 'okay' and 'goodnight' I hung up the phone. I checked all the doors just to be sure, and headed to my bedroom. Almost at the top of the stairs, I looked down and I saw what looked likte a figure. Frozen with fear, I just stood there and stared at it. When I wasn't paralysed anymore, I rushed down the stairs to find out who or what that was. I chased the figure through the living room into the backyard. It was standing near the one big tree in my yard, it was here when we moved, and probably even before that. I have heard stories form kids around my neighbourhood that people used to be buried where the tree is placed. It couldn't be true, because when we moved here we changed the tiles into grass and there was nothing except insects inside the earth. The figure was still standing near the tree, and I was closing her in, the figure looked at least like a woman. We stared at each other for a while, and before she disappeared, she said:

'Look out for the dog.'

Hope you liked it, I will maybe post the ending if it is requested.
