Figure Out What Went Wrong

This is just a mental reflection of your day, so take some time to figure out when your day went downhill. Once you do, think of ways that you could change the situation for the better so that if it were to happen again, the outcome won’t affect you as much. Just remember to not be so hard on yourself!

Go outside

Use this time to catch some fresh air. Leave all distractions behind and just relax. You’ll be surprised at how much it helps!

If you’re too restless to simply sit outside, exercising is another good option. A simple, 30-minute walk or run is enough to stimulate your brain and get your blood pumping, which naturally makes people feel happier and more relaxed.

Listen to your favorite music

I’m sure everyone has a favorite song or a favorite genre that they like! Turning it on and relaxing with it is a good way to de-stress and make yourself happier.

Take a nice bath/shower

Taking a hot shower or soaking in a warm bath is a good way to spend your time after a bad day. On top of that, you can listen to music at the same time. Both of these can really boost your mood!

After a bath, a few minutes of meditation is also a good way to get over a bad day. Studies show that meditation improves one’s physiological state. Get comfortable, get relaxed, and let the mind wander for a while.

Read your favorite book

A few chapters of your favorite book can also put you in a better mood! Choose one that you can easily find yourself getting lost in, which will also help take your mind off things.

Watch something that will make you laugh

Or, if you’d rather, watch a funny video on YouTube or find a good comedy show/movie! Laughing releases endorphins, which is excellent for your mood and your mental health.
