Kinsley used her magic and poofed us home. We decided not to take the scenic route this time.

Dad's upset. We're upset. He had to identify mom's burnt and broken body. I feel bad for him.

Kinsley made a whole bunch of food for dad since we know he'll be too depressed to even make dinner. The house feels weird. Everything is different. Kinsley feels bad leaving dad here alone, but Aunt Raven says she'll hang out with him while we're gone.

There was a knock at the door. "I'll get it," I said, walking over to the front door.

Speaking of Aunt Raven. "Hi," she said, offering a kind smile. We know Aunt Raven isn't the most warm woman around, but she doesn't have to be. We love her. Her kids love her. She doesn't do any harm.

I don't know what took over me, but I hugged her tightly. I always realize how large I am when I'm around my family. I'm 6'5. Aunt Raven is about 5'5. I'm a giant. She hugged me back. "I'm so sorry, sweetie," she said. "I'm sorry, too...she's your sister...I couldn't imagine losing Kinsley even though she's a pain in my ass," I replied, trying to lighten the mood a bit. She pulled back and smirked at me. I moved aside so she could walk in. "Spence?" she called out.

Spencer / Dad

Dad walked over and they started to have their own conversation. I made my way to the kitchen to see what Kinsley was up to. "I'll poof us home after dinner," she said. I reached over and grabbed a strawberry. Usually she would yell at me for taking food she was working with, but today she let it slide. "I think he'll be ok if Aunt Raven sticks around," I said, taking a seat on the counter. Kinsley agreed. I peeked out into the living room and saw dad and Aunt Raven sitting close to each other. I don't know why, but part of me felt it was too close. I never got to meet Uncle David, but now they're both widowers....
