It is so important to always make sure that your makeup brushes are clean. They directly touch your face and are often used for liquid products, and they can spread batteries and worsen acne. Here is what I have found to be great and inexpensive way to clean your makeup brushes!

Fill up a cup, bowl, or shallow dish with warm water, and add about a tablespoon of vinegar (apple cider or white). The vinegars help to remove makeup while also disinfecting any acne-causing bacteria.

Let the brushes soak for about 20 minutes. When finished, make sure to rinse them well with hot and then cold water.

When you are done, let them sit on a paper towel to dry. Make sure to shape them so that they don't end up drying in weird shapes.

Do you have any other favorite ways to wash your brushes? Do you prefer store-bought cleansers, or DIY?
