HaeLyn was born in Ulsan and she is the youngest out of 3 siblings (two sisters). Her father works for the UN and her mother is a University teacher.
She always loved to sing and everyone recognized how great of a singer she was/is. She moved to Paris and started busking on the streets, she stoped once she returned to Korea. She had a long talk with her parents and asked their permission to become an idol. At first, her father wasn't very fond of the idea of her becoming an idol, knowing how harsh the entertainment industry was, but as years went by he eventually gave in and started supporting her fully.
