From the fall of 2016 to spring 2017 I lost a lot of weight. 16kg (35 pounds) to be exact.
I had struggled with my weight my whole life and I felt such a relief.
I was far from done but this big of a change made me so much happier with my body that I stopped working out almost completely.


I worked out on and off in the fall of 2017 but I never found the motivation again which is why I didn't get any new results.
After that I gained some weight in 2018 and struggled to find my motivation and I always quit after a few days.


I was in a bad place mentally and after I started this series I truly believed I had found it again.
I've been on and off for a week maybe two but now I can truly say that I found my motivation.
PROTIP: Start a workout journal! Personally I feel that I've not done enough some days, even though I have! So writing it down makes it easy to see what I've eaten and how much I've exercised.


For six days (minus the ones I didn't write down) I've eaten right and exercised regularly.
But yesterday I felt the old cycle beginning again.
I didn't feel like going to the gym (even though I had to go) and I was trying to tell myself to go tomorrow even though it was against my rules.
I went anyway and felt great.


PROTIP: Learn from your failures. After a while you start noticing what is the excuse you tell yourself that makes you quit every time and you can learn how to avoid it or continue despite it.
