Many throw words around like a rag doll. However, trust is one of the few, among love, not to toss around as if it were not serious. Like love, trust is something you can't give to everyone.

It's rare. You don't your heart away to many; only to those who actually deserve it. And then, not so surprisingly, they break your trust over and over and over again. It's without remorse. It's as if they couldn't care less.

The funny thing? They automatically expect you to forgive them because "that's who you are". They think they know you. They say they love you. They believe you trust them. All of it is a lie. They don't know you, they don't love you, and you certainly don't trust them.

Trust; that's certainly an ironic word. There is no real meaning behind it anymore. There is no more emotion involved. Where did it go? Did it disappear? Did it die? No; it isn't. You just decided to rely on the wrong people. That's okay. It's okay that you put your faith where it didn't belong.

Just remember to not be afraid of making that same mistake. Remember that not everyone is an exact copy of the monster that destroyed your life; not everyone is you. Above everyone else, you break your own trust. When you recognize that, change it.

In the little things, do what you say you're going to do. Keep your promises. Be honest with yourself. Risk everything; be positively reckless if that's what it takes. Above all, trust.
