Once upon a time in Paris,
Not too long ago...
We were two enchanted spirits,
Two enamored souls.
On the first day, we held hands
In a lover's carefree stroll
And kiss one another softly
Under my peach-colored parasol.
We sang sweet songs of passion
And held each other tight,
And right before I closed my eyes,
You whispered that I was your light.
On the fifth day I said "I love you",
My confession made you smile,
How I still remember the way the moon reflected in your eyes.
On the sixteenth day we argued,
You slammed the door,
I cried.
And on the twenty-ninth, I lost you.
And then I lost my light.
