I've watched a lot of movies and TV Shows and to make it interesting, every month I try to set a theme for what kind of movies I'd watch on that month. So, last month I planned a Romcom theme, and who's better drawing up Romcom roles than the Romantic Comedy king himself, Mr. Hugh Grant. And so, I decided last month that I'd watch Hugh Grant's Movies for the month and will rate them on the scale of 1-10.

Without further ado, let's hop into it.
I started it out with the ultimate Romcom of all times by Hugh Grant, the romantic,

1. Notting Hill (1999)

A story about a nobody from a small town who falls in love with a world-known movie actress. One of the best romantic movie I've ever seen. The dynamic between Hugh Grant and Julia Roberts was very apparent. I mean the Queen and King of Romcom is here! playing love interest to one another. You can soak up the romance essence from this movie. If you're a sucker for a romcom movies, you should definitely watch this!

there's nothing else I could say more except that this is one of the best romantic comedy film ever made (9,5/10)

2. Four Weddings and a Funeral (1994)

hugh grant and andie macdowell image
A classic romantic comedy movie starring Hugh Grant and Andie MacDowell. I love this movie. It's simple, it's romantic, it's so 1994. This movie was Hugh Grant's breakthrough. Four Weddings and a Funeral shows Hugh's sweet and charming side, the one we always going to remember.

this movie is so sweet, you'll feel that heartwarming feeling after watching this. and plus, Hugh Grant in this movie, is just heavenly. (7,9/10)

3. Maurice (1987)

80s, 90s, and films image
This. Movie. Is. Brilliant. This classical romance drama movie starring Hugh Grant and James Wilby managed to express the homosexuality story line in such a delicate way. The movie's a bit long and has some boring scenes here and there, but still, I'd watch it again.

Hugh Grant and James Wilby's performance in this movie is just very convincing. One of the great 80s movie that got slept on for years. (7,2/10)

4. Mickey Blue Eyes (1999)

hugh grant, movie, and mickey blue eyes image
A very fun movie to watch! Hilarious and cute at the same time. A story about an auctioneer who proposes to his girlfriend only to find out that her family are involved in a Mafia crime family. Starring Hugh Grant, James Caan, and Jeanne Tripplehorn, the sizzle of laughter and frustration starts from there.

Movies set in New York will always be my kryptonite and this one is one of them. (7,9/10)

5. Did You Hear About The Morgans? (2009)

Not as strongly written and executed as Hugh's other project. Morgans could very much go unnoticed and I wouldn't mind. Though, Hugh Grant and Sarah Jessica Parker's chemistry in this couldn't be unnoticed (7/10)

6. Two Weeks Notice (2002)

hugh grant, sandra bullock, and two weeks notice image
If you need a good laugh and forget everything in the real life for a moment, you should definitely watch this movie now! Hugh Grant and Sandra Bullock most hilarious and finest work ever. It checks out every factor that a quality Romantic Comedy qualifies, except the brief moment where Donald Trump made a cameo appearance. But even Trump can't ruin how amazing and good this movie is.

Grant and Bullock, still friends after all this time. And if you don't know, Hugh Grant rarely got along with her female co-stars. So this movie's pretty something! (9,3/10)

7. Nine Months (1995)

hugh grant, julianne moore, and nine months image
Starring Hugh Grant and Julianne Moore. A story about an unmarried couple unexpectedly expecting a child. The father don't like the idea of it, but the mother is beyond exciting. This drama romance comedy has those ups and downs and boring spot here and there, but there's lesson you'll learn from it. Also, this movie still wrapped in it's comedic way, so you'll find it easy to follow.

It's young, handsomely, charming Hugh Grant and young, sophisticated Julianne Moore. What moore can I say? (8,3/10)

8. Bridget Jones's Diary (2001)

Bridget Jones's Diary, starring Renne Zellweger, Hugh Grant, and Colin Firth has that cutely quirky love tone movie about a 30-something woman struggling to find someone to even go for a date with. Suddenly torn apart between choosing a big lawyer who's her first impression of was awful or a charming boss of hers who turned out to be a big fat liar who we all grown to love. This movie is fun, lightly executed, and hilarious in many moments. Plus, Bridget Jones's Diary is the pinnacle of good looking of Mr. Hugh Grant.

You'll drawn to every second of this movie and will enjoy it so much! (8,8/10)

9. Bridget Jones: The Edge of Reason (2004)

The adventures of Bridget Jones and her ill-fated love life continues in The Edge of Reason. Unfortunately, the second installment of the Bridget Jones franchise (for me) couldn't measure up to the first movie. Though, it's still has that klutz, finding true love story in it, but it's lacking what makes the first movie very enjoyable, that cutely quirky love tone writing.

for me, I'm more drawn into the first film. The second film was just an extent because I want to find out what happen next (6,6/10)

10. The Rewrite (2014)

A story about an Oscar-winning writer in a slump leaves Hollywood to teach screenwriting at a college on the East Coast, where he's drawn to a single mom who's taking his class. Starring Hugh Grant and Marisa Tomei, this movie feels like a perfect one for you to watch with a rainy/cloudy weather, wrapped in blanket while eating ice cream.
hugh grant, allison janney, and j.k. simmons image
Set up the mood while watching this, you'll feel the atmosphere within the movie. (8/10)

11. The Englishman Who Went Up a Hill But Came Down a Mountain

A story about two English cartographers who arrived at the village of Ffynnon Garw to measure its "mountain", only to cause outrage when they conclude that it is only a hill. Filled with it's comedic scenes, this movie considered easy to follow and understand.

maybe not so much "romantic" but this movie is most definitely a comedy (7/10)

12. Love Actually (2003)

black, book, and film image
One thing's for sure. It's a star-studded holiday movie filled with love and laughter, who wouldn't watch it?

just know that you haven't truly lived if you haven't watch Love Actually (9/10)

13. Music and Lyrics (2007)

drew barrymore, hugh grant, and music and lyrics image
Everything in this movie made me drawn into it. Hugh Grant and Drew Barrymore's chemistry is undeniable. A romantic movie about a relationship that evolves between a former pop star band member and an aspiring song writer. Not only Grant and Barrymore's amazing portrayal of their characters that made this movie enjoyable and amazing, but also you'll fall in love with Haley Bennett's character. Watchable movie, I'd watch it more and more.

one more proof that this movie is amazing is that, it created one of the MOST romantic song this planet ever heard! (9/10)

14. Florence Foster Jenkins (2016)

Three words. Two. legends. meet. Hugh Grant and Meryl Streep together. Don't know how else to put it out there.

if somehow I failed to convince you to see this movie, I'll say this one more thing: Hugh Grant gracefully and wonderfully dancing (8,9/10)

15. About A Boy (2002)

hugh grant, nicholas hoult, and About a Boy image
If you don't love the movie by the time you finished it, there's something seriously wrong with you. Starring Hugh Grant, Nicholas Hoult, and Toni Collette, you'll completely fell in love with each and every character in this movie. Such a heartbreaking and heartwarming movie wrapped in one! It's sad, it's hilarious, it has everything. If you don't like the other rest of the movie on this list it's okay, but if you haven't, please give this movie a chance.

Nicholas Hoult and Toni Collette gave out such an amazing and wonderful acting in this movie, believe me when I say you'll love it and makes you wonder why a movie this great wasn't the movie people talked about every chance they got. (10/10)

So, that's about it, the Hugh Grant films I've seen last month. Had such a great time watching all of those and fell in love with most of it. He really is the king of Romantic Comedies.

Thank you for tuning in! Have a nice binge-watching!
