Hey lovelies, this is the fourth monthly playlist article. I took a few months off because I wasn't in the best mindset and I needed a while to think and clear my mind. If you have read one of these articles before I will put explicit next to songs because I know that's not everyone's cup of tea. And also the genre of music it is for the people who may not know. And a little down low on the songs.
P.s your girl got Spotify, finally. I know I am super late to the bandwagon, but I got there in the end. So more music is coming my way and into these playlist articles.
So without further ado here is my:
October playlist.
Playa (say that) - Dennis Lloyd (E) / Dance/Electronic
Okay so basically I have an obsession with Noah Centineo. Like every other girl on this planet. So I was watching one of the MANY interviews with him on youtube and this song was one of his suggestions. And my god, this is such a fricken good song. I would describe it as being pretty lustful yet aggressive. Which sounds awful, but it is honestly such a catchy song.
Sick of losing soulmates - Dodie (E) / Alternative / Indie
Dodie always comes out with the best songs. Everything she does I completely and utterly adore. This song is so good and honestly opened my eyes so much. No one is perfect and everyone has their flaws.
Bad girls don’t cry - The Night Game / Alternative / Indie
Another suggestion from Noah Centineo. And okay, but seriously this is my new anthem. I live for it and it deserves SO much more credit than it is getting. Do yourself a favor and listen to this if you like alternative/indie music.
Lovefool - The Cardigans / Pop
One night I was watching a lot of 'Teen Vogue' (input celebrities name) 'creates the playlist of their life'. And this was in Billie Eilish's playlist and so many memories came flooding back and I have been thoroughly enjoying this throwback song.
Bloom - Troye Sivan / Pop
This song has probably already been in a previous monthly faves, but shit it deserves to be in every. single. one. Will never be tired of Troye Sivan.
Pocket Full Of Sunshine - The Superstarz Kids / Children's Music
Will admit that this song crept back into my mind when I thought of that infamous scene in 'Easy A+'. It has definitely grown on me and I admit that I am humming it for the most part of the 24 hours every day.
Lost Boy - Ruth B / Pop
Discovered this song this month and okay wow. I am so emotionally attatched to it so dang much. i grew up being in love with Peter Pan (still am tbh). It is such a emotional reminder of childhood and I am living for it.
Japanese Denim - Daniel Caesar (E) / R&B/Soul
Another song that was a suggestion from the woman herself; Billie Eilish. It's a very slow and mellow song that I adore.
Good Vibrations - Remastered - The Beach Boys / Pop
Okay so the new season of Riverdale is out, and this is playing at Thornhill mansion for Cheryl's pool party. This whole episode gives me feels and it is such a groovy beat. (If you are Australian then yes this is the original song for the Good Guys TV advertisement.)
I’m A Mess - Bebe Rexha / Pop
I feel like this is the ultimate song for when you have a crush. It is so upbeat but it has some pretty sad lyrics about being a mess for the person she is in love with.
Younger - Ruel / Pop
Ruel is actually a God, always bringing out the best songs. This song is about a friendships drift due to both sides persuring different interests or family life. Which I think is so relatable to so many people. Everyone changes and sometimes it can be hard to drift away from people that were so close to once upon a time.
Shotgun - George Ezra /Singer-Songwriter
This song gives me ALL the summer feels. I can picture listening to this on a 30 degree day in a hatchback car, with this playing so loud and wind blowing hair in the wind.
Heartache On The Big Screen - 5 Seconds Of Summer / Pop
The way I interpret this song is that it is about a relationship that started out sweet and somewhere between the lines it turned sour. Both parties wanting to forget the tragic love than went to waste but they keep getting caught up in all the good times. I think it would have also been painful for them to be constantly reminded of the events that left them heartbroken.
