Hello, beautiful Hearters and friends! I hope you had a fantastic day. It's been a few days since I last posted, hasn't it? I've had quite the crazy week. How has your week been going?

So, I haven't done an article like this in a while. It's not that I'm afraid to put my faith out there (for those of you who have been reading my articles for the past year know that). I just haven't had much time to make an entry then make a post. But I'm thinking I might start writing articles like this one more often.

Before we get into the article, I have a little announcement. I'm launching my first devotional kit in November! I've been thinking about it and praying about it for quite some time and I feel God pushing me in this direction. I'm so excited to see where this goes and I have so many amazing ideas. If you want to join me in this exciting new chapter, please subscribe to my blog (which will be listed at the bottom) so you can get the newsletter. The kit is completely free, also, which is a bonus.

Bible Journal With Me - Beautiful Things

I first got into Bible journaling about four years ago. I was scrolling through Pinterest when I saw this beautiful picture painted in a Bible and I said, "I want to do that." I was really first introduced to Bible journaling from this company called Illustrated Faith. They have a shop for devotions, cut-outs, Bible journaling kits, and more. The community they have is amazing.

The devotion I used today was by Shanna Noel, who founded Ilustrated Faith (I'll link it here: https://www.illustratedfaith.com/shop/tune-in-series-beautiful-things/). It's $3.00 to purchase but was definitely worth it. The devotion comes with, of course, a devotion and an art piece that you can put in your Bible. Use it as you wish.

The devotion talks about how time makes things beautiful and how we are beautiful in God's eyes. Shanna Noel asked us to listen to the song before getting into the devotion, so I'm going to place it here:

So, I'm trying to think of how I want to continue this. (First of all, how many of you think I should make a YouTube channel for my Bible journaling? I've been considering it. If you say, "Yes, Kaylee, go for it!" please leave a 👏reaction.) I think, for now, I'm going to format it this way:

What I Used

The materials I used for this entry are:

  • Watercolor Paints (from Michaels)
  • Beloved Society Stamps (from Hobby Lobby)
  • Illustrated Faith So Loved sticker collection (from Michaels)
bible, bible study, and new things image

The background is a mix of blues and greens to create this beautiful almost aqua color. I used washi tape to cover the verses (Revelations 21: 4-5) and painted over it so when I pulled the tape off, the verses would stand out.

I then used a black ballpoint pen to write my entry. The flower stamps came from the Beloved Society stamp set and the stickers from the So Loved collection.

I finished my entry off with the Illustrated Faith stamp and put the devotion (which I cut and glued together) in the margin with washi tape to make a tip-in.

That's all I have for you guys. If you're interested in an article about my testimony, Bible journaling journey, and favorite devotions, let me know. I would love to write more about that.

Don't forget to subscribe to my blog for my first devotion kit!

Like always, I hope you have an amazing rest of your day and weekend. Remember to keep smiling. You never know who will need it.

XO,
Kaylee
