Hi lovelys. Here a few ways to know if you're about to have a manic episode. Or even some ways to figure it out when it's in the mist.
.........................................................................................
I was diagnosed with bipolar 1 about 4 years ago or so..

My first manic episode was crazy. I'd be talking about spirituality, gangs, auras, vibes, music and a lot of random ideas and thoughts... just plain gibberish.

And pretty much every manic episode after that (4 in total) was the same bs.
-------------------------

NOW I'm stable and on good meds that keep me sane and centered.
OK. Let's get into it.
...........................................................................................

1. Check your eyes: If they're dilated- you're prob manic.. Also if you blink a lot more than usual- it's a sign.

2. If reoccurring violent dreams happen: it might be a early sign of mania.

3. Craving alcohol.

4. Running Away: This is a big one. I know when I'm manic, I'm most likely always trying to run away from people or either just start walking with my backpack packed, not knowing where I'm going... Which is super scary and even dangerous!!!

5. Some people might experience more appetite. Just eating everything in sight! What I've realized is that I'm so distracted that I have close to or no appetite at all. ( I once went without eating for at least a week... that I remember)

6. Happier & more excited.

7. Inability to be calm. I.E. so wired.

8. If you were recently in a slight depression, chances are it was just a quick downfall before the climax of a mania.

9. Intense text messages. I know when I'm manic when I start sending text messages talking about the "pope" and what not to some of my close friends..

10. Crazy writing. Follow up on a journal and pay attention to you're writing. Not only the way you put pen to paper but also the way it looks....
..................................................................................

And that concludes tips and tricks on how to know if you're about to be manic, if not already manic.

My number one rule though to keep me afloat and sane is.... SLEEP.
- always have a good nights rest. ALWAYS!

I hope I've taught a bit and even helped those with manic depression.

Stay humble!
Love you.
