Christopher Breaux (Frank Ocean) started his career ghostwriting for singers like Justin Bieber, Brandy and even Beyoncé (yes, he wrote I miss you). He was in the rap collective Odd Future alongside Tyler the Creator who he said helped him reinvigorate his writing. He later went on to sign with DEF JAM Recordings and released his first mixtape Nostalgia Ultra, which was critically acclaimed.

After making us wait for nearly 4 years, Frank Ocean released his last album with DEF JAM Recordings titled Endless to fulfill his contract in August. However, he blessed us two days later with another studio album, Blonde which debuted as number 1 in many countries and was ranked by Time as the best album of 2016.
