Happy Autumn Hearters! Sweater weather is finally upon us and along with wearing sweaters comes all types of activities only you can do during this time of year. I have created a Fall bucket list so all of you can check off each item along with me.
Spook up your room
Decorate your room with skeletons, pumpkins, fake fall leaves, etc. be creative and maybe DIY
Buy some Autumn scented candles
This also goes along with decorating your room, but now just with scent, take yourself to your local candle vendor and buy all the scents that remind you of Fall and all of Fall’s festivities.
Read a spooky book (or four?)
My Personal recommendation though is the whole “Raven Cycle” series by Maggie Stiefvater but your choices are endless!
Watch at least 3 Spooky movies
They don’t have to be spooky, they can be magical or just take place in a fall setting!
Some of my Ideas: Harry Potter, Casper, and any Disney Halloween movie.
Rock some 'spooky’ socks
Who doesn’t need socks for when Fall freezes your feet? Buy some cute socks to match the spooky season!
Go to a haunted house
Normally I wouldn’t go for this just because I’m a scaredy cat, but I’m trying to get out of my comfort zone a little so why not? Go to a house where you're intentionally going to get the bejesus scared out of you, fun right?Go for a hayrideThis is also an awesome activity to do with friends, or you could make it a date!
Visit your local pumpkin patch
Go have a photoshoot with your friends, then pick a pumpkin of your liking to take home. After you can have a little gathering at your house and…
Carve or paint pumpkins!
If you can’t think of how you want to carve or paint your pumpkin, get inspired by one of your favorite characters.
Make Halloween inspired dessert
Wether that's just using icing in seasonal colors, designing a Halloween-ish image,
or using a special ingredient that reminds you of the Halloween spirit make yourself and others something sweet to cure the scares of the season.
Take a Walk through a park full of trees with falling leaves
Put on your beanie, your warmest jacket, and most comfortable boots. Invite a friend and go have a nice little walk through a park during Earth’s finest time.
Attend or host a friends-giving
This year I got invited to my first friends-giving, but if no one in your friend group has one planned host your own!
Send letters to your family & friends telling them why you are thankful for them
We all have those people who have helped us along life, with small things, helped with shaping you throughout your life to become the person you are today or just people that have made your life a little easier. Write them a letter letting them know you’re thankful for them and why.
Have a warm drink of your choice in the crisp air
The only way I can drink a warm beverage is in the coldest of weather, separate an afternoon off to spend some time with yourself and relax sipping hot cocoa, or any hot drink of your choice
I would also like to say a thank you to the people in charge of the We Heart It Writing Team for allowing me to be part of something so special, l along with other incredible writers.
All the love, Ani
