procrastination is the root of all your stress. by procrastinating we delay important tasks excetra - meaning we have less time to complete them and therefore causing us more stress in the process. by forcing yourself to stop procrastinating you start to get more structure in your life. ways you can stop procrastination are;

↝ stop punishing yourself
↝ create a comforting working space

yes, we all get to that point where our rooms look like a total pigsty for whatever reasons and let's be honest when your space is a mess it's easy to get stuck in a rut. that's why it's important to dedicate a day each week to clear your room of unnecessary mess and get rid of things you don't need. by doing this you get a sense of productivity which in turn can help you feel more organised.

if you're anything like me and have a ton of clothes in your wardrobe that takes up so much space but you never end up throwing them out or giving them away because you keep telling yourself you will wear it again then use this rule. 'if you haven't worn it in two months you're never going to wear it'. i swear by this rule and it can help you feel so much more organised when your space is tidy.

do one thing at a time.

it's easy to get stuck in a rut when you're bombarded by tasks and work. that's why focusing on one thing at a time is essential for a stress-free mind. colour code things in way of importance. this way you can start with the most important tasks that will need your most energy and time and then work your may through the list. this will give you a sense of achievement as you tick off the completed tasks and will give your life structure and organisation.

write things down.

we all know someone that remembers every birthday and sends cards for every holiday and no they don't have superpowers but they do have a notebook and pen. i can't stress enough how simple yet effective this hack is. it has been scientifically proven that you're more likely to remember something if you write it down. so save yourself the stress and just write it down somewhere or set a reminder and you will never be overwhelmed again.
