Sometimes, we get so caught up in our problems, in the stressful situations of life, that we forget how to really live and enjoy every single day. In this article, I will give some advice on how we can live our lives the best way possible.

|THE BASICS|

1. Eat healthy

This is so important. We should have a healthy diet not only because it's good for our health in general, but also because it's full of delicious and nutritious food. There is no point on eating food with low nutritional value, simply because it isn't beneficial for us.
However, we can, every now and then, treat ourselves with a little bit of chocolate, for example, (but we can always choose a chocolate with, at least, 70% cocoa, instead of those that have more added sugar).

2. Drink water

I think that, by now, we all know the benefits of drinking water. Lots of water. Our bodies are made up of 60-70% of water, so it's normal that we need it for a proper functioning of our immune system. For the people who don't really like drinking water, there are now many ways to improve its flavor, so there is no excuse to jeopardize our health.
From maximizing physical performance and having a huge impact on energy levels and brain function, to helping treat kidney stones (and maintaining a normal kidney functioning), water is good for pretty much everything.

3. Workout

The combination of a healthy diet with a regular workout plan is key to a healthy lifestyle. Not only is beneficial to your body, but also an amazing boost in your mood (I speak from personal experience). You will feel less stressed, and more motivated to work, study or get things done.
You can start with more simple exercises or even going for a walk and then increasing the duration and/or difficulty of them.

|INTERPERSONAL RELATIONS|

This is a very important topic when it comes to being happy and feel happy. The number of times we get affected by what other people think or say about us are countless. And the reality is, it doesn't matter. Wear what you want; believe in what feels right for you; listen to music you want to listen; stand up for your own opinions. Don't be influenced by what other people think it's right and "normal".

However, it's also important to remember that your freedom ends when the other person's freedom begins: don't disregard other people's beliefs and opinions, just because they aren't compatible with yours. You should stand up for what you believe, but at the same time, consider other perspectives with an open mind and without judgment.

|ME, MYSELF AND I|

Although it's important to think about the people we care about, their problems and how we can help them, it's necessary to take some time for ourselves and figure out our own issues. Don't think you are being selfish for taking care of yourself. It's so crucial to have self-care moments on a daily basis. What's necessary is that you understand what you like doing the most.

Don't live your life in a passive way. Enjoy every day and be grateful for what you have right now: your family; your friends; the opportunity to go to school/college; having a job, a home, and a bed to sleep on...
